Their role is to address the two key challenges that are crucial to the future of humankind - the climate emergency and biodiversity loss - while helping shape new models for sustainable societies. In 11 years, Reforest’Action has funded 12 million trees in 35 countries across 4 continents. Indonesia – Sumatra

In association with their partner Yagasu, Reforest’Action reconstitutes the Indonesian mangrove in north Sumatra in order to stem one of the largest deforestations in the world.

Spain – Palencia

Near the natural park, Montaña Palentina, where bears and wolves are common, Reforest’Action are planting to rebuild an ecosystem devastated by fires. Several local and mixed species will be introduced with the aim to provide a stable ecosystem rich in biodiversity.

Portugal – Montchique

In regions that have been affected by forest fires in recent years and faced with the challenges linked to these dry forests, which are conducive to the outbreak of recurring fires, Reforest’Action are working alongside forest owners to adapt forest management. Notably by diversifying the species present in the forests to make them more fire-resistant.

Ireland – Foulksmils

In Co. Wexford, Ireland, in an area of abandoned farmland, the planting of dynamic species by Reforest’Action will help recreate a functional forest ecosystem providing various ecosystem services.
